Hi there,
I hope this letter finds you well and happy. It feels like forever since we’ve been apart, and I’ve been thinking about you so much lately. Being here on deployment has given me a lot of time to reflect on everything, especially on how much you mean to me.
I remember the day we said goodbye, both of us heading off on our separate paths. At first, I thought it was impossible to bear but then I understood we knew our choices were necessary—you going to college to chase your dreams, and me joining the military to serve our country. Even though we had to part ways, I’ve never stopped thinking about you and the incredible bond we share. I remember when you were trying to surprise me with a cake for my birthday and accidentally tripped and fell on the cake face first. You gave me this look as I was helping you up and we both started laughing incessantly.
I’m so proud of you for following your dreams and working hard in college. I know you’re doing amazing things, and I wish I could be there to see it all firsthand. You’ve always been so smart, so driven, and so capable. I have no doubt that you’re shining brightly wherever you go.
Our separation has been tough, but it has also made me realize how strong our connection was. Distance may keep us apart but can it change anything?. Every time I think about you, I’m reminded of all the wonderful moments we shared—our long talks, our laughter, and the dreams we had for the future. Those memories keep me going, and maybe you've moved on, I just wanted to share that you are still in my mind often.
I want you to know how much you mean to me. You bring a smile to my days. Even though we’re miles apart, I often look up and wonder what you're doing and whether you're having as much fun as we had together. You’ve been my anchor, my confidant, and my inspiration.
I hope to see you soon. We’ll have so much to catch up on and so many new memories to create. Until then, know that I’m thinking of you and cheering you on from afar.
